
Reading is a top priority at Sts. Philip and James. All students visit the library once a week and our professional librarian helps them select books to read in school and at home. Our full time librarian has integrated the library resources with classroom assignments and lessons. She also is a resource for students needing suplemental information. Our library has several computers for student research and is a warm and inviting place to study and learn.
Sts. Philip and James participates in Library Connections, a four year program that has provided the school with $165,000 in library resources and teacher training.

Sts. Philip and James is equipped with an up-to-date computer lab which students visit once a week. Laptop carts are available for teachers to use in the classroom and computer education is applied to daily coursework in a meaningful and realistic manner.
| Creative Classrooms Visual Arts Program |

Creative Classrooms, a visual arts program for all grades, employs a professional artist/instructor to work with each class once a week. The students express themselves through art projects varying from pastels of their daily commute to school to watercolor silhouettes of their fellow classmates. Their artwork has been displayed at various community organizations.

READ, a reading tutoring program for the 1st grade, trains the school’s 7th grade students as reading tutors. They provide reading instruction and make learning to read enjoyable and productive.
Sts. Philip and James offers seasonal sport programs for 4th-8th grades including football and track. Sports activities take place in Sts. Philip and James’ large schoolyard.
